Coop announced on the Score tonight that Humber is going to be the long man in the pen and that we are back to a 5 man rotation. Wish they'd make up their mind already and stick with it.
Obama's allegiance to the Sox (he does not hesitate to express his scorn for fans of the Chicago Cubs) and his support for an Olympics in Chicago are absolute. In an interview with ESPN's Stuart Scott that aired on "SportsCenter" in August, Obama was asked who he would root for in a Cubs-White Sox World Series. This was his answer: "Oh, that's easy. White Sox. I'm not one of these fair-weather fans. You go to Wrigley Field, you have a beer; beautiful people up there. People aren't watching the game. It's not serious. White Sox, that's baseball. South Side."

With Sale taking that little rest period and the addition of Liriano I think we've needed to experiment a bit. It will all fall into place soon.

Sale, Peavy, Quintana, Floyd, and Liriano will almost surely be our main rotation, but if something happens it's nice to know Humber has rotation experience.

I think this is great, but I could also see the Sox using Humber as a spot starter if they wanted to give Quintana or Sale some rest again. I think it is going to be great to have him in the pen just in case of an emergency due to somebody lacking control one night. Get ready for the long haul boys because we are ahead in this marathon and it is going to be close.

Will we see Santiago back up as a spot starter sometime yet this season?

Yeah, it's not like he ever threw a perfect game or anything. He has zero success in a rotation.

I feel this is a bit pre-mature. Is Liriano ok after getting hit in the leg? Will Sale's dead arm be gone? Is Quintana in need of a break? I agree with the move, but not the timing.
